Speakers are required to check-in the day prior to their presentation to upload their electronic presentation with technical support. Judges should stop by to pick up packets prior to their assigned sessions. You will receive final instructions and answers to any questions regarding the judging process. Completed scorecards should be returned to the ICE Service Center as soon as possible after evaluating your session. Workspace will be provided for you to complete scorecards. Judges are still needed! Inquire at the ICE Service Center.
Business Center
Location: Ground Level next to Hall 1A
The CTICC’s business center offers a number of business services to keep you in touch with your business or clients while attending the conference. The business center services include: printing, photocopying, faxing and a courier service.
Prayer Room
Location: Registration Foyer, CTICC 1
The CTICC accommodates people of all persuasions and religion and as such the centre has a dedicated prayer room for all patrons.
Lost and Found
Items found during the conference should be turned in to ICE Show Management staff personnel located in Registration. If your lost items have not been turned in, you can leave contract information at Registration.
No Electronic Capturing
Photography and video/audio recording of any kind are strictly prohibited inside the Exhibit Hall, technical sessions, poster sessions or luncheons.
No Smoking Policy
Smoking is prohibited inside the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

Safety and Security
South Africa’s Cape Town is one of the largest cities in the world. And while the city does have industrialized areas and modern services, the country itself has significant pockets of poverty. Below are a handful of tips on how to stay safe while in Cape Town:
- Play it safe when using an ATM and use them only inside respected stores or banks.
- Purse snatching is a common crime within Cape Town. Wear over the shoulder bags or try to not carry one at all. This includes backpacks.
- Travel in groups and stick to well-lit areas when walking around at night.
- Avoid Long Street as it is known to be unsafe.
- Avoid wearing flashy expensive jewelry, watches, or clothing.
- Public Transportation is generally safe, however note that taking a marked cab at night is the best option.
- There are ongoing tensions between Uber and metered taxis. Please use caution when using either service.
- Due to thefts at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, you should vacuum-wrap luggage where local regulations permit. Keep all valuables in your carry-on luggage.

Parking and Transportation
Parking at the CTICC is never a problem with more than 1,400 secure and easily accessible on-site parking bays available to visitors. Prepaid parking tariffs for Exhibition and conferences R50 exit tickets per day. Transportation options are available to get you wherever you need to go. They include:
- Integrated Rapid Transport System – Cape Town’s sophisticated bus transport system.
- MyCiTi Shuttles – Shuttles that offer efficient and safe public transport across the city. The CTICC is conveniently located on one of the MiCiTi routes which runs to and from the airport.
